Hi! I am Monica Quiroz and I have been teaching at Rancho Santa Gertrudes for 7 years. I’ve taught 2nd and 3rd grade and now I have the opportunity to teach your first grade children and I’m really excited about it. I have so many ideas and Mr. Smith and I have been and will be working together to challenge your child and have them succeed. On a personal note, I am married to Juan and am the mother of a 3 1/2 year old named Genesis and a 3 month old, Juliana. On my free time, I like to spend time with my girls, try new restaurants and outings and just spend quality time with the family. I also love gardening and cooking. This year, I’m really excited to teach first graders because I feel as if this is a huge milestone in their lives where they will blossom and learn the foundations of both reading and math. So it is crucial that they do their homework. I have high expectations for your children and I KNOW ALL the students will succeed. I look forward to meeting you and hope for a wonderful 2011-2012 school year.
