The City of Santa Fe Springs, in partnership with PIH Health, held its annual Family Fun Night on Monday, November 13th. Parents and students were encouraged to attend this free family event at the Gus Velasco Neighborhood Center and discover how technology can help them eat better and stay healthy. Parents and students received a free dinner, participated in free activities, and attended a free meal planning demonstration. All attendees also left with a free goodie bag with more information on how to create healthy eating habits.
Parents from Healthy Los Nietos had a booth at the event and distributed healthy fruit smoothies to everyone that attended. We would like to give special thanks to Principal Brann Zelaya, students from Los Nietos Middle School and parents from Healthy Los Nietos for volunteering at the Healthy Los Nietos booth.
