On Saturday, December 18th, the Los Nietos School District distributed close to 150 food baskets and toys to families in need. Superintendent Vasquez, school board members, principals, teachers, and student volunteers assisted in distributing frozen chickens, canned goods, and fresh vegetables to families. Children that attended the event also had the opportunity to take home a toy for themselves and their siblings.
We would like to give special thanks to the Aeolian Elementary School student council, Pioneer High School football team, staff, principals, and teachers from all four of our Los Nietos SD school sites, as well as the participating grocery stores, for donating these items and volunteering their time to help with the event.
