Good evening Rancho families.
I wanted to inform you of some of the steps we are taking today to ensure the safety of your children at Rancho School. As you are aware, due to the safety threat in the Los Angeles Unified School District today, District administration and I have been in constant communication with our local policing authorities. I have asked our staff to be extra vigilant and visible around campus. I directed all teachers to inform students to report anything suspicious on or around the school to an adult at school immediately. In addition, police officers from the Whittier Police Department have been visible around our schools as they support the safety of our school community. The safety of our students is of paramount importance to our school district and school sites. The District will continue to monitor the situation and will provide parents and staff with additional updates as they become available.
Sincerely,
Octavio Pérez, Principal
