On October 24, 2012 Rancho’s new sixth graders had the honor to walk in the annual Santa Fe Springs Red Ribbon Parade. The celebration was an exciting experience for all who watched and walked in the parade. You didn’t have to walk in the parade to participate in this festive event, people all over the community wore red and chanted “Say No to Drugs.” In the parade Santa Fe High School color guard, band, and cheerleaders participated. Miss Santa Fe Springs was driven around in the parade, while city council members, such as Juanita Trujillo, were also in the parade. The whole purpose of the event was to encourage people to say no to drugs! This day was an event we will remember forever.
