Rancho Santa Gertrudes Elementary School celebrated it's historical academic achievement of reaching the 800 API mark.
The Ceremony began with the flag salute, led by five Rancho students who had scored a perfect score on their state tests last year. The PTC then honored the Rancho teachers by gifting each with a symbolic necklace of metallic plastic stars. All students who showed improvement or high achievement on the California State Tests were then acknolegded, receiving a certificate and a medal from their teacher. As a special treat, the former 6th grade students, now 7th graders at Los Nietos Middle School, were allowed to join the celebration, as well.
The ceremony concluded with a trophy presentation to the five students who scored a perfect 100% on all of their state tests, scoring a 600 out of 600 possible. Way to go!
Congratulations to all students, faculty and community, we did it!
