We have a great opportunity to reinforce our children's reading and comprehension skills. We are partnering with the Santa Fe Springs City Library Literacy Services to provide students an opportunity to read 30 books and participate in a "Battle of the Books" in spring. B.O.B. is a successful literacy program in many schools and we are excited to have it in our school again.

Fourth and Fifth grade students form two teams of six to represent us in this competition. In order to prepare for the competition, students have to read 30 books and hold weekly meetings to share their reading.

Last year, Rancho's students took first place in the competition and this year they will do their best to keep the trophy at home.

Everyone is invited to attend this challenging, fun, learning competition.
