Los Nietos School Board of Trustees Accepting Applications to Fill Vacant Board of Trustee Seat; Applications due by February 29, 2016 at 4:30 PM in the Superintendent’s Office of the Los Nietos School District
The Los Nietos School Board will be accepting applications to fill the vacant seat of former Trustee, Art Escobedo. Trustee Escobedo resigned this week due to his moving out of the attendance boundaries of the Los Nietos School District. Interested community members who would like to be considered to fill the two years remaining on former Trustee Escobedo’s four year term are encouraged to fill out the candidate application form and turn it into the office of Superintendent Vasquez located in the Los Nietos School District at 8324 S. Westman Avenue, Whittier, CA 90606. Candidate application forms are due on February 29, 2016 by 4:30 PM.
The Los Nietos School Board of Trustees will review the candidate applications and schedule interviews to be held on March 1st at a special school board meeting at 7:00 PM. Board members will interview, deliberate, and select a final provisional candidate in Open Session on March 1st, with the provisional candidate being sworn-in on March 8th at a regularly scheduled Board Meeting.
