On Wednesday, March 25, 2014, Los Nietos School District competed in the Los Angeles County Office of Education Regional Spelling Bee Competition. Representing Los Nietos School district was Emily Gonzales a 5th grade student from Rancho Santa Gertrudes Elementary School. In the audience was Mrs. Emily Coutant, Delilah Coutant, Emily's mother Julie Gonzales and Octavio Pérez, Principal.
